However, you should be wary of a low-income neighborhood that is still on the decline; you can't predict how low it will go.

Crime can occur anywhere, but it's not a secret that violent or property crime is synonymous with many low-income places. Securing a home in such a place requires the installation of different security measures such as motion sensors, blinding security lights, and alarm systems. You will probably be investing in such installations soon enough if you are eyeing a property without them.
